DES MOINES, Ia. - Senior Macauley Garton finally claimed his Drake Relays title on Friday (April 24), after narrowly missing the winning finish at the 2014 with his second place finish. Garton took the lead among the collegians in the field early on, bouncing back from a rough opening round to toss 70.41m (231-0) on his second attempt. Garton is one of seven PR's thus far this weekend as the Tigers take on a four-meet series to close out their regular season travel schedule. Competitions started on Wednesday (April 22) at the Emporia State Mid-Week Open, with the Drake and Penn Relays starting on Thursday (April 23), and the Triton Invitational in San Diego, Calif., joining the mix on Friday (April 24).
