AUSTIN, Tx. - Senior Kearsten Peoples was the first Tiger to qualify for the NCAA Championships on Thursday (May 28), highlighting the first day of competition at the NCAA West Preliminary Round with her sixth-place finish in the women's hammer. Nine of the 24 Tigers that qualified for this weekend's competition saw action on Thursday. Three will return for the quarterfinals in their respective events on Friday, while Peoples will be back in the ring for the discus and shot put on Friday and Saturday, respectfully.
